"I had range of motion, flexibility and strength issues along with being stoop shouldered. I'm 79 years old and an avid golfer. I got a referral from my osteopath.
I began with a series of stretching exercises to be done twice daily. After a number of weeks additional stretching exercises were added. Finally a series of upper and lower body exercises working with weights was added.
About this time I saw my osteopath for the first time since she gave me the referral. Unsolicited she commented that my posture had improved and I was standing up much straighter. My range of motion, strength and flexibility have improved.
I visited the facility on Monday, Wednesday and Friday over the course of 20 weeks. The staff is professional and is there to help each individual each step of the way. Rick Sidor, the owner, and his staff, Ben and Pat work to ensure each visit is successful. Visits are scheduled to maximize each appointment.
My visits included treatments to my back when necessary because of tightness or soreness. For the last month or so of my visits, the treatments weren't necessary.
I have joined a gym to continue with exercising.
I highly recommend Spine and Orthopedic Rehab."

"I started my rehab at the 3rd Street office after a left-hip replacement on March 22, 2023. I happened to be one of my doctor's patients that worked hard and arduously to regain my mobility due to a year of delayed surgery. I was assigned Mickel' Yust as my regular therapist. She was so dedicated to my well being and relentlessly encouraged and supported me. At times when I grew weary of my rate of progress, she'd praise me and renew my belief in my ability. I can not thank her enough for her selfless concern, not just for me, but for her other patients as well. She definitely has a calling and is answering it well. "I went to Spine and Orthopedic Rehab @1919 Electric Rd for Physiotherapy for my IT Band on right leg. I went for 2 months with 3 sessions every week. "My experience here has been the better than I could have hoped for! They do a fantastic job of taking care of patients. My care has been managed primarily by Christine and Daniel, and more recently Ahmed as well- who is a student in a local Physical Therapy Assistant program. They have been amazing!! From Dr. Sidor to Moriah to Shelby (receptionist) and everyone in between, you can tell that they care about helping people. They also succeed in that goal! I have seen steady improvements over the past few months of doing physical therapy. They also keep a very clean facility!! Nothing is worse than working out in an unclean gym or receiving treatment in a dirty office, and to that effect, I have never seen anything untidy ever in 4 months (Even in the break room is always clean-which is visible to patients)!! Huge plus for me. They coach people through their workouts and correct bad form, for those that are doing something unsafe. I have never felt like I was left to figure things out on my own. Dr. Sidor and crew are second to none at their mission of spine and orthopedic therapy/rehab!! Very friendly and helpful. Great job!!"

I'm the type of person who never takes medication for pain. This pain was so bad I was not able to hardly walk due the pain and numbness from hip to my foot. I contacted Rick and got an appoint very fast. It is now 8/4/2017 and now I'm able walk with no pain or with little numbness in my foot. I have been to other PT centers in the Roanoke valley and they don't compare to the service or help Rick and his staff have given to me. Rick offers great service. When I came to SOR I had been diagnosed with osteoporosis. My doctor predicted that it would continue and he wanted me to consider getting on medication to improve my bone density. After about a year of regular therapeutic exercise at SOR, I had another routine bone density test. The results indicated my bones are now within normal range! Spine and Orthopedic Rehab is one of those hidden jewels and underutilized resources of the medical community. I recently viewed firsthand their facility and staff when I became their patient for the treatment of shoulder pain. I was clearly skeptical that I could be helped, having had nightly shoulder pain for the previous six years and more recently a painful bursitis.
